Hello, I am Sebastian Ballesteros Caro, owner and tour leader of PhotoNatura Colombia, thanks for taking a look at my site, I am professional photographer, biologist and birding guide, trully passionate about nature and wildlife conservation. I own and live in a small family nature reserve in the foothills of the Santa Marta mountains where we protect a patch of forest in an ecological regeneration process.
I have been doing birding/nature trips since 2010 in different areas of the country including the Santa Marta mountains, Andean region, Eastern plains, Choco lowlands, Amazon basin and other areas of the country. As a birder and wildlife guide I know the natural history, ecology, habitat and behaviour of a particular species, and as a photographer I know the difference between watching a bird in the forest canopy and taking a good portrait at eye level, so the nature photography trips I have developed are designed from the wildlife photographer's perspective.
